Caroline Reddy - poetry and events
Caroline Reddy was born in Shiraz, Iran to an Iranian mother and a Ghanaian father. She spent the first eight years of her life in Tehran before relocating to Paris, France, and then finally settling with her family in Westchester, New York. She is a Reiki master, a Zen practitioner and a student of Taekwondo. Caroline works as a children's librarian at White Plains Public Library.
Pierian Spring Press published Caroline's debut collection of poetry, Shake the Atmosphere to Reclaim an Empty Moment. Her work has appeared in numerous journals including Active Muse, Calliope, Clinch, Grey Sparrow, Star*Line and Tupelo Quarterly Review, among others. In the fall of 2021, her poem “A Sacred Dance'' was nominated for the Best of The Net prize by Active Muse. Caroline also contributed an introduction & two poems for the anthology Iranian Women Speak: Voices of Transformation, published by the International Human Rights Arts Festival.
